HKUCC 40th Anniversary Celebration

On July 3, 1983, the first worship service of Hawai'i Kai United Church of Christ was held at the Hawai'i Kai home of founding members Henry and Sarah Sato .  Thirty-seven people were in attendance and, from this humble beginning, the first seeds of a new church were sown.  Read more about the history of HKUCC by clicking here.

Hawai'i Kai United Church of Christ celebrated its 4oth Anniversary on July 23, 2023.  The following remembrances and reflections were shared by our first minister, Pastor Phil Mark.  In addition, Susan Tengan, originally a member of Makiki Christian Church (our parent church) and an early member of HKUCC, shares her  memories and experiences at HKUCC.
